Why are there no Poker Apps in the Play Store?
- This is due to Google’s policy on Gambling Apps. In their own words “Gambling: We don't allow content or services that facilitate online gambling, including but not limited to, online casinos, sports betting and lotteries”
Fear not fellow Poker fans, one of the great things about being an Android owner is you can use several App stores, not just the Play Store. You can download Poker Apps to your phone from various different sources. Check out the Poker Apps page to see where you can download each app from.
Can I continue a Poker session ive been playing on my phone on the desktop version?
Luckily, yes you can! This is one of the great things about Poker Apps, they work seamlessly with your normal account, so if your in a tournament or at a table, log in to your account on your computer, exit the App and you can carry on from where you were before.
Why do I need to adjust the settings on my phone?
As standard, your phone or tablet will be set to only allow Apps to be downloaded from the Play Store. By simply ticking allow unknown sources, you allow third party apps (basically all apps outside of the Play Store) to be installed. This will not harm your phone, mess up any of your settings or affect any of your current apps.
Can I use more than one Poker App?
You most certainly can! It is good to use several Poker Apps as each one has different set ups, tables, buy in’s etc. You may have a favourite app but you can use as many as you like.
Is it possible to get a free bonus on the App?
You can’t claim your bonus on the app itself, you need to claim the bonus when you register on either the mobile site, or desktop site. This is why we always recommend you sign up first, then download the app after.
Can I use the Poker App on 3G and WIFI?
You can use the Poker Apps where ever you get a signal. Using a Poker App uses very little data. An hours play will use roughly 2-3mb of data. You may have restrictions in the country you are in for playing as not all countries allow gambling, even on an app.
Are Poker Apps safe?
100% if you have ever used Poker on a PC, you will be very familiar with the security that goes in to the software. Using an App is basically a small scale desk top version of Poker.
Why would I use an App when I have a laptop?
In an ideal world, you would take your Laptop or PC with your where ever you go, of course in reality, this is not practical. Poker Apps a few years ago were not up to scratch, however over the last year or so they have really improved. Your mobile or tablet fits in your pocket, it is with you where ever you go so why wouldn’t you use an app. You can be at work, on the train, sat at home or anywhere you like and get the real Poker experience in the palm of your hands.
